Weekly Intro Classes in San Francisco

Learn what Action Theater is all about.
We will explore the fundamentals of body based improvisation. Come prepared to use your whole body through voice, movement. and language. The focus of each class is different so you can take one class or take as many as you like. If you are a curious beginner this is a great way to get your feet wet. It is also a chance for experienced improvisers to keep developing their skills through Action Theater’s unique approach to improvisation.
Cost: $25/class to drop-in, or get a 4-class card for only $90.

Create improvisational theater rooted in the body.
These are mixed level series and are open to everyone. We will explore the core practices of Action Theater and also push the edges for more experienced improvisers. I hope you will join us as we explore what it means to be fully present in each moment, and to communicate that experience to others. The course of our journey as a class will be determined by the make up of the students.
Cost: $ 150/ 6-week series ($125, if paid one week before the first class)

Improvisation in Performance
When you improvise in front of an audience the stakes are higher, but you are also called to do your best work. Together we will explore strategies that will help you relax and enjoy the ride, including: making strong choices, trusting yourself and committing fully to each moment.
