Weekly Class Series - North Oakland
May 8 - July 3
Create improvisational theater rooted in the body.
Each series invites you to expand your expressive range, become more present and develop your capacity to respond truthfully, imaginatively and spontaneously to whatever presents itself. The focus of each series will be tailored to meet the specific needs of the group. Each class will include a physical and vocal warm up, targeted skill building exercises, and an informal performance score. The classes are appropriate for all levels, from curious beginner to seasoned professional. Come for some serious fun!

One-Day Workshops ~ Berkeley
Inside/Out Again
The Inside/Out workshop was received so well last Fall that I am offering it again with some additional material. Drawing from Action Theater and eyes-closed practices like Authentic Movement, we will spend the day making connections between internal and external awareness. We will practice tapping into the well of the collective unconscious and then cultivate techniques for bringing that deep awareness into relationship with our partners. Diving inside and connecting outside.

Weekly Intro Classes - San Francisco
Mondays 7-9pm, ongoing
Learn what Action Theater is all about.
We will explore the fundamentals of body based improvisation. Come prepared to use your whole body in movement, voice and language. The focus of each class is different so you can take one class or take as many as you like. If you are a curious beginner this is a great way to get your feet wet. It is also a chance for experienced improvisers to keep developing their skills through Action Theater’s unique approach to improvisation.

I am now offering 4-class series which cover the basics. Each class in the series is different. I recommend taking them in order for continuity of material and classmates, but you can also drop in on any of them.
